The NP7-12 is one of the most popular sizes of sealed lead acid battery used today in the fire and security industry.  Both Yuasa and Enersys offer an NP7-12 battery, with both using the same product code.

These NP7-12 batteries are generally used for standby applications such as fire alarm systems where they operate as a backup power supply in the event of a mains failure.  They have a specifically designed valve regulated sealed construction which means that the maintenance required is vastly reduced.  The estimated life span of these batteries in standby use is up to 5 years.

The dimensions of the NP7-12 batteries are as follows:-

Width:  65mm

Length:  151mm

The batteries weigh around 2.65Kg and have a nominal voltage of 12 volts.
