HyFire Wireless Fire Alarm System – Introducing HyBrid Fire Detection Systems
The Safety Centre now has one of the latest developments in Wireless Fire Alarm System technology as part of its product portfolio. The HyFire Wireless Fire Alarm System isn’t just a Wireless Fire Alarm System! It is known as a HyBrid Fire Alarm System.
What is a HyBrid Fire Alarm System?
A HyBrid Fire Alarm System allows the connection of wireless fire alarm system devices just as a traditional wireless fire alarm system does. However in addition to this hardwired devices can also be connected to the panel on a loop circuit. This has several advantages. It allows the use of the more expensive wireless fire alarm system devices in specific areas where installing loop cables maybe difficult or impossible, yet in areas where hardwired cabling is possible, costs can be saved by installing cheaper hardwired devices.
How Does The HyFire HyBrid Wireless Fire Alarm System It Work?
The HyFire System works by the use of translator modules, which are connected to the systems hardwired loop circuits. These translator modules use the 868Mhz operating frequency which is now required to comply with EN54-25 and BS5839. Each translator module is capable of connecting upto 32 wireless fire alarm system devices and additional expander modules (which are used to relay the radio signal around the building). The translator module receives and transmits signals to the wireless fire alarm system devices and relays the information back to the main fire alarm control panel via the loop circuit.
What Fire Alarm Devices Are Available?
The HyFire Fire Alarm System device range includes an extensive range of devices which can be used to solve many fire detection issues within a building. This range includes Smoke Detectors, Heat Detectors, Multi Sensors, Call Points, Wall Sounder & Beacons, Sounder & Beacon Bases and a variety of interface options.
A survey kit is also available for this system. A survey is required to ensure that the radio signal is strong enough to reach all areas of the building where the wireless fire alarm system devices are installed.
The Safety Centre can also provide a commissioning service for this equipment. Please call us on 01200 428 410.
