Sigma Smart+Guard Break Glass Covers

The Sigma Smart+Guard range is also available in an alarmed sounder version.  This product is ideal for use in schools where the chance of malicious false alarms on fire alarm system break glass units is high.  The alarmed version is designed to emit a piercing siren tone when the hinged cover is lifted to access the break glass unit underneath.  This can attract attention to the area and deter vandals from activating the fire alarm break glass.

To compliment the range there is also a selection of anti-tamper break seals available which provide a further deterant to would-be vandals from lifting the cover and activating the fire alarm system.  Where the Sigma Smart+Guard unit has options available to deter malicious activation of the fire alarm system, it is also designed to provide 100% accessibility to the break glass unit in the event of a real fire event.

To ease the installation of the Sigma Smart+Guard units there are both surface and flush mounted versions available.  The flush mounted versions are ideal for installation where the cables are recessed and hidden within the fabric of the building.  Whereas the surface mounted versions are ideal for installations where trunking or conduit systems have been used to connect the break glass unit to the fire alarm system.
