EDA Zerio Plus - SMS Transmitter Unit - EDA-Z6052 & EDA-Y1110.
These sit inside the panel and are supplied with full programming instructions for setting it up.
The end user of the fire alarm system is free to choose their mobile provider and sim-only deal of their choice.
Texts can be sent when the panel goes into fire, or if any faults appear and also can send a weekly text message just to say ‘Im OK’ and that the system is healthy.
These different messages are all optional and programmable.
Currently, you can only have a maximum of 2 mobile phones connected to this unit at one time.
It’s recommended a fire alarm engineer installs / commissions this SMS transmitter unit as there would be hands-on work with electronic PCBs & software changes.
Please Note
New panels must be ordered stating that its software / processor board must be SMS transmitter compatible. There is no extra cost for this software upgrade.
If it is an existing Zerio Plus panel on site somewhere, then the processor board will require swapping out – check whether there is a cost for this with EDA as it might depend on the age of the panel.
